How poor memory skills cost Sue a potential job:
Sue was a college graduate looking for her first teaching position.
She went to an interview and was introduced to five men who would
be participating in her interview. During the interview she was
asked about her knowledge of teaching methods and history. Midway
through the interview, she was asked what she knew about John Brown.
She realized that she knew nothing of John Brown, and apparently
she should have. Should she bluff her way through the interview
or confess? She said, "I'm sorry. I've never come across that
name."
"Yes you have", said her interviewer, "he was the
third man you were introduced to today."
Sue was shocked and completely lost focus for the rest of the interview.
She didn't get the job.
If only she would have been able to focus and simply remember the
names of a few people.
This is a true story. But it doesn't have to be true of you. The
first lesson in the Super-Memory course teaches how to remember
the names and faces of dozens of people that you've just met. |
Please believe me when I tell you that I do not have any special memory
powers. I don't have a "photographic memory." But I learned
how to recall names of people I've met. Last month I was at a program
that had 88 people that I'd never met before. I met them all during the
reception. Then, when my program started, I personally greeted each person
by name. Zero mistakes!
Yes, It's impressive, but you could do it if you learned the techniques
that are taught in the first lesson.
Do you have to write down a shopping list when you go to the grocery
store? Or, when you're picking up lunch for the staff at the office, do
you have to write down everyone's orders?
After practicising the techniques taught in Lesson Two, you'll never
need to write a shopping list again.
Some people may ask, "What's the matter with writing down a list
to be sure that you don't forget?" Absolutely nothing is wrong with
it. But, it would simply be more convenient if you didn't have to rely
on a list. What happens when you're out running errands and you decide
to pick up a few things at the store, as long as you're out? But, since
you weren't planning on shopping, you didn't bring your shopping list.
Now what do you do? You just buy the things that you can think of, and
then you go back to the store a second time when you have your list. Wouldn't
it just be more convenient if you had a mental list with you all the time?
And whenever you think of another thing that you have to buy, you just
add it to your mental checklist. Then, when you are at the store unexpectedly,
you'll be able to get everything that you need, the first time!
Lesson two teaches how to do that, and more!
Do you find it difficult to remember numbers of any type? How are you
at remembering phone numbers? If you're driving in your car while talking
on the phone, what do you do if someone tells you a phone number that
you need to remember? Do you have to pull over to write it down? Wouldn't
it be great if you could just remember it?
You may not believe what I'm going to tell you.
In preparation for speaking at a service club, I memorized the entire
membership roster of 55 people- all of their names and PHONE NUMBERS.
I'd never met these members and I'd certainly never called them. But I
was able to recite the names of all the members and recall any of their
phone numbers.
The point is that if I could do this with 55 phone numbers of people
that I'd never met, then you could certainly do this with the phone numbers
of people that you know and call occassionally. Save time! Don't be dependent
on your phone book or digital device. Have any phone number in the palm
of your hand instantly! If I can do it, so can you. Lesson 3 tells you
everything that you need to know in order to remember any types of numbers.
Do you ever forget someone's birthday? Using the techniques taught in
Lesson 4, you'll be able to remember someone's birthday just by thinking
about them. The same method works for anniversaries too. You may doubt
that you can remember the birthdays of all of your friends. But let me
assure you that you can. In preparation for my Memory Magic Shows, I've
memorized birthdays of hundreds of famous people. If I can do that, then
you can surely remember the birthdays of your 40-60 closest friends and
relatives.
Then, just think of the month ahead and you'll remember who you need
to send a birthday card to. It's that easy!
Once you've become proficient at using these memory techniques, then
you'll see how fun it is to show off to your friends. You could do some
amazing memory demonstrations with a deck of cards. Your friends will
think that you've learned magic tricks when you demonstrate how you can
remember the order of 20 cards in the deck, or remember who is holding
what cards. I even teach a amazing trick that looks like an unbelievable
memory demonstration, but it isn't. It's really a simple math trick. But
no one will know it! All of this, and more, is taught in Lesson 5.
The 5 CDs have a total of 250 minutes of instruction- that's more than
FOUR HOURS! Just listen and learn.
One more thing... all of the CDs are divided into multiple tracks so that you can quickly jump to or skip over any sections that you want. This means it's really designed for learning. You could repeatedly play any of the peg lists, (like the peg list for playing cards) because each list is on a separate track. This make learning a breeze!
All of this is available for only $60.
